Meta-owned photo-sharing Instagram on Thursday announced a new platform, 1 Minute Music, featuring tracks for Reels, which is currently only available to Indian users.
The company said the new platform offers a range of music tracks and videos for use in Reels and Stories and includes music from 200 artists from across the country.
“Music is a catalyst for trends on Instagram today. In fact, Reels has become a platform for people to discover music and artists as well,” Paras Sharma, Director of Content and Community Partnerships, Facebook India (Meta), said in a statement.
“With 1 Minute Music, we are now giving people access to an exclusive collection of tracks that they can use to make their reels even more entertaining. We also hope that this platform will serve as a model for established and emerging artists to share their own. And create their own videos, all of that. on Reels”.
The company said Reels is a growing global arena where artists and music are discovered.
Since its launch, artists have used it to release and share their music with others, which in turn is driving many trends on the platform. To further this and inspire others to unleash their talents too, Instagram is now launching 1 Minute Music, he added.
One Minute Music will be available for people to use in the Reels audio gallery.
