Explain data abstraction

 Data abstraction : it can be summed up as follows :

1. When the DBMS height certain details of how to data is stored and maintained it provides what is called as the abstract view of data

2. This is to simplify user interaction with the system

3. Complexity of the data and the data structure is hidden from the user through several level of abstraction

Data abstraction is used for the following purposes:

• To provide abstract view of data

• To hide complexity from user

• To simplify user interaction with database management system
